BC Jindal Group has emerged successful in securing a 150-megawatt (MW) segment of Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) 1,200 MW round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy project via reverse auction. The awarded capacity comes with a competitive tariff of Rs 5.07 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), positioning the group to deliver uninterrupted clean power integrated with the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS).

In a decisive pivot toward India’s green energy future, the BC Jindal Group has unveiled a comprehensive plan to invest Rs. 15,000 crore by 2030 in manufacturing components for the renewable energy sector. The move signals a significant expansion of the conglomerate’s industrial footprint, aligning with national decarbonisation goals. The initiative’s first phase—backed by Rs. 4,000 crore—will establish capacities for solar cell and module production, battery energy storage systems, and solar glass manufacturing.
