Devyani International Ltd., a leading quick-service restaurant (QSR) operator and franchisee for global brands in India, reported a sharp 90% year-on-year drop in net profit for the first quarter of FY26. Net earnings fell to Rs. 6.05 crore from Rs. 60.06 crore in the same period last year, primarily due to higher operating costs, inflationary pressures, and intensified promotional spending. However, revenue rose 6% to Rs. 864.29 crore, supported by network expansion and steady same-store sales growth in select formats.
