Murder, Deceit, and a Love Triangle: The Chilling Case of a Newlywed’s Death in Telangana

By Nishant Verma , 28 June 2025

In a shocking case of betrayal and calculated murder, a 32-year-old man from Telangana was killed just weeks after his wedding, allegedly at the behest of his wife and her lover. Ganta Tejeshwar, a dance teacher and land surveyor, went missing on June 17 and was later found dead in Andhra Pradesh. Investigators have since arrested eight individuals, including the victim’s 23-year-old wife, Aishwarya, and her 35-year-old lover, Tirumala Rao. The murder was the result of a meticulously planned contract killing, driven by a longstanding extramarital affair. Authorities are continuing their probe into the disturbing and complex crime.

The Disappearance and Discovery

Ganta Tejeshwar, a well-known private land surveyor from Rajaveedhinagar in Jogulamba Gadwal district, was last seen leaving his home on the morning of June 17. His family, alarmed by his sudden disappearance, filed a missing persons report the next day.

A breakthrough came when police obtained CCTV footage showing Tejeshwar leaving in a car with acquaintances. Four days later, on June 21, his body was recovered from a remote location near Panyam town in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district. The gruesome nature of the crime pointed to premeditated murder.

The Sinister Plot Behind the Killing

Police investigations revealed that the crime stemmed from a forbidden relationship that had turned deadly. Aishwarya, who had married Tejeshwar just a month earlier on May 18, was reportedly in a long-term relationship with Tirumala Rao, a 35-year-old manager at a housing finance company in Kurnool. Despite her engagement and eventual marriage to Tejeshwar in December 2024, Aishwarya continued her romantic involvement with Rao.

The relationship, however, became strained under the pressures of her new marriage. Driven by a desire to reunite with her lover and escape the obligations imposed by her family, Aishwarya and Rao conspired to eliminate Tejeshwar.

Contract Killing: Execution of a Chilling Plan

Rao reportedly reached out to Kummari Nagesh, a commission agent, and shared Tejeshwar’s personal details, including his mobile number. Nagesh and his associates installed a GPS tracker on Tejeshwar’s motorcycle to trace his daily movements.

On June 17, under the guise of a professional engagement involving land surveying, Tejeshwar was lured into traveling to Kurnool. During the return journey, between Erravalli and Gadwal, he was murdered inside the vehicle. According to police, he was struck on the head, had his throat slit, and was stabbed multiple times in the stomach.

Rao, who met the killers post-crime, directed them to dump the body near the Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi (HNSS) canal—a deserted area that would hinder recovery. The assailants changed clothes and discarded the victim’s phone and belongings in the canal to destroy evidence.

Financial Trail and Arrests

The murder was not only orchestrated with meticulous precision but also involved significant financial transactions. Rao allegedly paid the hired killers Rs. 1 lakh on the day of the murder and transferred an additional Rs. 2 lakh on June 20 as final payment for the act.

A total of eight individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the crime. These include Aishwarya, Rao, Nagesh, and five other accomplices. Authorities say the evidence against them includes digital trails, forensic data, and confessions.

Twisted Relationships and a Dark Motive

What adds an unsettling dimension to the case is the personal history of the accused. According to Jogulamba Gadwal Superintendent of Police T. Srinivasa Rao, Tirumala Rao had initially been in a relationship with Aishwarya’s mother, Sujata, who worked as a sweeper in the same office. Over time, the relationship shifted toward Sujata’s daughter, Aishwarya, whom he eventually promised to marry.

Aishwarya, however, was compelled by her family to marry Tejeshwar. Trapped in a marriage she did not want, and motivated by the hope of starting anew with Rao, she allegedly agreed to orchestrate the murder. The couple had even planned to flee to Ladakh following Tejeshwar’s death, police revealed.

Implications and Ongoing Investigation

While all eight suspects are currently in police custody, investigations are ongoing to explore the broader scope of the conspiracy and determine whether more individuals were complicit. Authorities are also scrutinizing financial transactions, mobile records, and GPS data to build an airtight case.

This brutal incident has sparked widespread outrage and disbelief, particularly because it stemmed from intimate betrayal and a web of deceit involving close family members. The case also highlights the role of digital surveillance—CCTV footage and GPS tracking—in modern criminal investigations.

Conclusion: A Cautionary Tale of Deception and Crime

The murder of Ganta Tejeshwar serves as a grim reminder of how personal betrayal, when combined with calculated planning and access to digital tools, can lead to devastating consequences. It is a case that intersects psychology, technology, and crime—offering painful insights into human relationships gone wrong.

For the residents of Gadwal and beyond, it underscores the importance of early warning signs, the dangers of emotional manipulation, and the consequences of unchecked obsession. As the judicial process unfolds, the public hopes justice will be swift and uncompromising.
