Vecmocon Secures Rs. 153 Crore Series A Funding to Drive Global EV Innovation

New Delhi-based deep-tech startup Vecmocon Technologies has raised over USD 18 million (approximately Rs. 153 crore) in a Series A funding round to bolster its growth in the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem. The round was led by sustainability-focused venture capital fund EIF, with additional participation from Aavishkaar Capital, BII, and existing investor Blume Ventures. This funding will accelerate Vecmocon’s efforts in embedded design, power electronics, IoT, and data science, while also supporting team expansion and R&D infrastructure. The company aims to develop robust, safety-critical systems tailored for Indian conditions and with global applicability.

Funding to Accelerate EV Technological Advancements

Vecmocon Technologies, a prominent deep-tech startup focused on electric mobility, announced on Monday that it has secured over USD 18 million (approximately Rs. 153 crore) in Series A funding. The investment round was spearheaded by EIF, a sustainability-centric venture capital fund, and saw participation from Aavishkaar Capital, the UK’s development finance institution BII, and existing backer Blume Ventures.

The new funding will propel Vecmocon’s mission to develop next-generation EV systems and solutions that are tailored to the unique demands of Indian environments, while also meeting global standards of safety and performance.

Pioneering Robust and Intelligent EV Systems

Vecmocon, established in 2016 by alumni of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and the Indian School of Business (ISB), is dedicated to engineering intelligent, data-driven systems for the electric mobility sector. The company has carved a niche in building advanced embedded design, power electronics, IoT, and data science solutions that can be integrated into electric vehicles.

CEO Peeyush Asati emphasized that the latest capital infusion will strengthen the company’s efforts to produce software-defined and safety-critical systems designed specifically for Indian road conditions. These solutions will not only power domestic vehicles but also position Indian engineers at the forefront of the global clean mobility movement.

Strategic Deployment and Future Goals

The raised funds will also facilitate the expansion of Vecmocon’s workforce and the development of new research and development infrastructure to enhance its technological capabilities. The company is targeting deployment in over 1 lakh vehicles on Indian roads and plans to extend its innovative solutions to global markets.

“This infusion of capital will supercharge our efforts to engineer the next generation of the most robust, high-performance, software-defined, and safety-critical systems uniquely tailored for Indian conditions and global deployment in electric vehicles and clean energy systems,” Asati said.
