Insecticides India Reports 40% Drop in Q3 Profit Amid Demand and Cost Pressures

Insecticides India posted a sharp decline in profitability for the third quarter, with net profit falling 40 percent year-on-year, reflecting a challenging operating environment for the agrochemical sector. The downturn was driven by softer demand, pricing pressure, and higher operating costs, which collectively weighed on margins despite stable revenues. The results underscore the vulnerability of agrochemical companies to seasonal variability and input cost fluctuations.

Insecticides India Sets Rs 200 Crore Revenue Target in Madhya Pradesh Amid Strategic Product Launch

Insecticides (India) Ltd (IIL), a key player in the agrochemical industry, has announced a bold plan to expand its footprint in Madhya Pradesh by setting a revenue target of Rs 200 crore for the current fiscal year. The state, which saw agrochemical sales of around Rs 2,000 crore in the last financial year, currently contributes Rs 150 crore to IIL’s revenues. The company aims to scale this up by launching new products tailored to local agricultural needs, including the herbicide 'Torry Super' for maize crops—a strategic move to tap into the state's thriving maize cultivation ecosystem.
