Insecticides India Ltd. (IIL) has joined forces with Corteva Agriscience to launch a new crop protection product designed specifically for rice cultivation. The partnership aims to address persistent pest challenges that hinder yield and quality in one of India’s most vital staple crops. Leveraging Corteva’s research capabilities and IIL’s distribution network, the product is positioned as a next-generation solution for farmers seeking higher productivity and improved crop resilience.

Insecticides India Ltd has delivered a strong financial performance for the fourth quarter of FY25, with net profit soaring 84.70% year-over-year to Rs. 13.89 crore, underpinned by solid revenue growth and a robust product portfolio. Total income surged 31.71% to Rs. 358.92 crore, reflecting strong market demand and operational efficiencies. For the full fiscal year, the company reported a 39.13% increase in net profit to Rs. 142.01 crore.

In a significant stride toward enhancing agricultural productivity, Insecticides India Ltd (IIL) has launched ‘Altair,’ a patented pre-emergent herbicide designed to address the persistent issue of weed infestation in paddy farming. Developed by Japan’s Nissan Chemical Corporation, Altair will be exclusively marketed in India by IIL. The herbicide promises broad-spectrum, long-lasting protection by forming a protective soil barrier shortly after transplantation.
