In a strategic move poised to enhance its global trajectory, InterGlobe Aviation Ltd., the parent company of India’s leading airline IndiGo, has announced the appointment of Michael Whitaker—a seasoned aviation leader and former head of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)—as an Independent Director on its board. The appointment, pending shareholder and regulatory approvals, coincides with the departure of Venkataramani Sumantran, who will step down as Independent Director and Chairperson upon completion of his term on May 27.
