In a significant policy move, the Delhi government has recommended a fivefold increase in financial assistance for students enrolled at the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology (IIHT), Jodhpur. The proposal aims to raise the monthly stipend from Rs 400 to Rs 2,000 for trainees across three academic years, alongside boosting the educational book and tour allowance from Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000 annually for second- and third-year students.
