Just Dial Posts Robust Q1: Profit Climbs 13%, Revenue Advances 6% on Strong Listing Demand

Just Dial has reported a solid financial performance for the first quarter of the current fiscal year, with net profit rising by 13% and revenue improving by 6% year-on-year. The growth highlights the company’s continued success in monetizing its expansive local search platform, driven by resilient advertiser spending and increased traction in paid listings. Enhanced operational efficiencies and disciplined cost management also played a pivotal role in lifting margins. As the company leans into digital transformation and broadens its hyperlocal reach, analysts believe Just Dial remains well-positioned to capitalize on India’s rapidly evolving small business and consumer services landscape.

Healthy Top-Line Momentum

For the quarter ended June, Just Dial recorded a revenue growth of 6%, reaching approximately Rs. 247 crore, compared to Rs. 233 crore in the same period last year. This incremental rise was underpinned by higher demand for its premium listing services, as more small and medium businesses sought greater visibility amid intensifying online competition.

Company executives pointed out that new customer acquisitions coupled with renewals from existing clients formed the backbone of this steady revenue climb. Notably, traction from tier-2 and tier-3 cities continued to strengthen, validating the firm’s strategy of deepening its hyperlocal market penetration.

Profitability Gets a Solid Boost

Net profit for the quarter stood at around Rs. 93 crore, marking a robust 13% increase from Rs. 82 crore in the previous year’s comparable period. This improvement in bottom-line performance was largely driven by tighter expense controls, prudent marketing spends, and an ongoing emphasis on enhancing operational productivity.

The company also benefited from incremental efficiencies in its sales and customer support functions, helping to sustain healthy EBITDA margins. Such financial discipline has been instrumental in cushioning the business against potential volatility in advertiser budgets.

Strategic Push Toward Digital Upgrades

Beyond headline numbers, Just Dial continues to channel investments into platform enhancements, including AI-powered search functionalities and more intuitive mobile interfaces. These technological upgrades aim to improve user experience and drive higher engagement metrics, which, in turn, bolster advertiser confidence.

Additionally, the company is expanding its suite of value-added services designed to help merchants manage digital storefronts, process leads more effectively, and track campaign outcomes in real time. This evolution from a pure-play search listings provider to a broader digital marketing partner is central to Just Dial’s long-term growth roadmap.

Outlook: Riding on India’s SME Digitalization Wave

Industry experts believe that Just Dial is well poised to ride the structural tailwinds of India’s ongoing small business digital transformation. As more enterprises prioritize online discovery and local outreach, platforms that blend extensive reach with actionable data insights stand to benefit.

Analysts expect that continued innovation in service offerings, alongside disciplined financial stewardship, will help the company sustain revenue momentum and protect margins in coming quarters. For now, Just Dial’s latest quarterly performance underscores its resilience and adaptability in an increasingly dynamic digital economy.
