Kamdhenu Limited, a leading player in India’s steel and paints industry, posted a robust 39% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the first quarter, reaching Rs. 21 crore. Revenue for the quarter rose 10% to Rs. 315 crore, supported by higher sales volumes and improved operational efficiencies. The company attributed the earnings boost to cost optimization, strong demand in the infrastructure sector, and strategic brand positioning. Kamdhenu remains optimistic about growth prospects for the remainder of the fiscal year, banking on infrastructure expansion, rural market penetration, and continued demand for premium building materials.

Revenue Growth Driven by Strong Demand

Kamdhenu’s consolidated revenue stood at Rs. 315 crore in Q1, up from Rs. 287 crore in the same quarter last year. This increase was driven by higher steel sales volumes and growing demand for paints in urban and semi-urban markets. The company reported that its distribution network expansion, along with strong brand recall, helped capture a larger share in both steel and decorative paints segments.

Profitability Boost from Operational Efficiencies

Net profit rose to Rs. 21 crore from Rs. 15 crore in the prior-year period, reflecting improved margins. Cost optimization measures, including better raw material sourcing and production efficiency improvements, contributed to this performance. Kamdhenu also reported a favorable product mix, with a higher share of premium products, which lifted overall profitability.

Strategic Expansion and Market Outlook

The company continues to invest in capacity enhancement and brand visibility to strengthen its competitive position. Management highlighted the growth potential in India’s housing and infrastructure sectors, which are expected to sustain demand for steel and decorative paints. Kamdhenu is focusing on expanding into rural markets while maintaining its presence in high-growth urban regions.
