In a landmark step toward empowering Indian farmers ahead of the Kharif season, the government will launch the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan on May 29 from the nation’s highest Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) at Nyoma, Ladakh—13,000 feet above sea level. Spearheaded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and over 2,000 scientific institutions, the campaign aims to directly engage more than 1.3 crore farmers across India.
