The 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025 is set to commence on November 14 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, bringing together participants from across India and 12 countries under the central theme “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.” Organized by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the event aims to promote domestic manufacturing, innovation, and export potential while fostering global trade relations. With Bihar, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh as partner states and Jharkhand as the focus state, the fair is expected to attract thousands of visitors and generate significant business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) opportunities.

A Premier Platform for Global Trade and Collaboration

The India International Trade Fair stands as one of the nation’s most influential trade and investment exhibitions, showcasing India’s evolving industrial and entrepreneurial ecosystem. Spanning from November 14 to 27, the event will feature diverse sectors—including home electronics, textiles, handicrafts, processed foods, light engineering, healthcare products, and agro-industries—offering a snapshot of India’s manufacturing strength and innovation potential.

The fair’s theme, “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,” underscores the vision of national integration through economic collaboration, celebrating unity in diversity by highlighting regional industries, cultural heritage, and indigenous products.

Over 3,500 exhibitors, including foreign participants from the UAE, Iran, China, Egypt, and South Korea, are expected to participate. The international representation reaffirms India’s position as a rapidly growing hub for global trade, supply-chain diversification, and investment partnerships.

Focus States and Sectoral Highlights

This year, Bihar, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh will serve as partner states, while Jharkhand takes the spotlight as the focus state. Each will showcase their industrial capabilities, investment potential, and key growth sectors.

  • Bihar will emphasize its strengths in agro-processing, textiles, and handloom industries.
  • Maharashtra aims to display its leadership in automotive, IT, and renewable energy.
  • Rajasthan will highlight its tourism, handicrafts, and gemstone sectors.
  • Uttar Pradesh, aligning with its industrial policy, will focus on electronics, defense manufacturing, and logistics.
  • Jharkhand, the focus state, will promote its mineral wealth, manufacturing ecosystem, and renewable initiatives.

For international exhibitors, the fair offers opportunities to forge bilateral trade agreements, explore joint ventures, and strengthen export-import relationships across multiple industries.

Business and Public Days

The fair will open in two phases to cater to distinct audiences. From November 14 to 18, the event will be reserved for business visitors, emphasizing trade deals, partnerships, and professional networking. The public phase, running from November 19 to 27, will welcome general visitors eager to experience consumer products, state pavilions, and cultural showcases.

Entry will be facilitated through designated gates at Bharat Mandapam, with tickets available via the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) network and online booking platforms. In a gesture of inclusivity, senior citizens and persons with disabilities will receive complimentary access.

Scale, Infrastructure, and Global Reach

Spread across the modernized Bharat Mandapam complex, the IITF 2025 features newly integrated digital systems for stall allocation, visitor management, and logistics coordination. The event’s upgraded exhibition infrastructure allows participants to present cutting-edge products and technologies to global buyers.

Booth rentals for Indian participants start from Rs. 17,100 per sq. meter, while foreign exhibitors pay around USD 475 per sq. meter for air-conditioned hall space—reflecting the fair’s premium positioning among international expos.

Beyond showcasing merchandise, the IITF has increasingly evolved into a knowledge-sharing platform, hosting policy dialogues, business summits, and thematic seminars on Make in India, Digital India, Start-up India, and sustainable trade practices.

Economic Significance and Outlook

The India International Trade Fair arrives at a pivotal time when India is striving to enhance its role in global value chains and export-led growth. The fair not only facilitates trade but also strengthens India’s brand equity as a manufacturing and innovation destination.

For small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the IITF serves as a springboard for entering international markets, while large corporations utilize the event to expand distribution networks and test new products.

Experts believe the fair’s business turnover could exceed Rs. 5,000 crore, based on historical data and the rising participation of foreign delegations. Moreover, its focus on sustainable and inclusive trade aligns with India’s broader economic agenda of equitable growth and green industrialization.

Conclusion

The India International Trade Fair 2025 embodies India’s growing confidence on the world stage—a convergence of commerce, culture, and innovation. As the global economy recalibrates post-pandemic, the fair underscores India’s role as a trade bridge between developed and emerging economies.

By merging traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, the event highlights how India’s economic transformation is being powered by collaboration, entrepreneurship, and a shared commitment to inclusive growth. For businesses and policymakers alike, IITF 2025 is not just an exhibition—it is a statement of India’s ambition to lead in global trade and sustainable development.
