Goyal Salt Sets Ambitious Rs. 275 Crore Revenue Target Backed by Landmark Expansion at Gandhidham

Goyal Salt is charting an ambitious course for growth, aiming to more than double its revenue to Rs. 275 crore within the next two years. This bullish outlook follows the inauguration of the company’s new high-capacity salt production facility in Gandhidham, Gujarat—touted as the largest natural salt plant in India. With increased production capabilities, enhanced branding strategies, and geographical expansion into western and eastern markets, Goyal Salt is positioning itself for significant market share gains. The company closed FY 2024-25 with a robust 40% jump in net profit, signaling strong momentum heading into its next phase of development.

Production Expansion Anchors Revenue Growth Aspirations

Goyal Salt has set its sights on a transformational leap in its topline performance, targeting Rs. 275 crore in turnover by fiscal year 2026-27, up from Rs. 130 crore recorded in FY 2024-25. At the heart of this growth strategy is its newly commissioned Gandhidham plant in Gujarat, which began operations in April 2025. The plant, positioned as India’s largest natural salt production unit, significantly enhances the company’s daily capacity to 2,200 metric tonnes, translating to an annual throughput of approximately 6,60,000 metric tonnes.

The strategic move is expected to enable full capacity utilization by FY27. According to Managing Director Pramesh Goyal, the new facility will serve as a catalyst in expanding the company's footprint in the western and eastern regions, while reinforcing its stronghold in the northern market.

Financial Performance Reflects Upward Trajectory

The company concluded the financial year ending March 31, 2025, with marked improvements in both profitability and revenues. Net profit rose 40% to Rs. 13.24 crore from Rs. 9.45 crore in the previous year, underpinned by operational efficiencies and volume expansion. Net revenues increased to Rs. 129.97 crore, up from Rs. 117.74 crore in FY 2023-24.

This strong financial performance, combined with an aggressive expansion strategy, places Goyal Salt in a favorable position to meet its ambitious revenue targets, particularly as the company capitalizes on rising demand across industrial and consumer salt categories.

Strategic Focus: Branding and Market Penetration

Goyal Salt is placing considerable emphasis on enhancing brand visibility and market penetration. With expanded capacity now in place, the company plans to drive both volume and price growth by leveraging branding initiatives across key regional markets. Managing Director Pramesh Goyal highlighted that branding will play a crucial role in the firm’s future revenue growth, as the company seeks to shift its identity from a capacity-driven manufacturer to a customer-facing, value-added producer.

The branding strategy includes a focus on product differentiation in the industrial and edible salt segments, which currently feature offerings such as triple-refined iodized salt, industrial-grade salt, double fortified salt, and half-dry variants.

Industry Standing and Infrastructure

Founded in 2010, Goyal Salt operates a well-integrated manufacturing facility in Nawa City, Rajasthan, strategically located near the Sambhar Lake—India’s largest inland saltwater body. The site supports both industrial and edible salt production, positioning the company as a key player in the value-added salt segment.

In October 2023, Goyal Salt debuted on the NSE SME Emerge platform, signaling its readiness to scale operations and attract investor interest. The listing marked a new chapter in its growth journey, providing a solid foundation for capital market engagement and business expansion.

Outlook: A Market Leader in the Making

Goyal Salt's aggressive scale-up, coupled with disciplined financial management and a clearly defined growth roadmap, suggests a company poised for sustainable expansion. The strategic commissioning of the Gandhidham plant not only boosts production capacity but also enhances the company’s logistical reach and cost efficiency.

With consistent revenue growth, expanding margins, and a vision centered on innovation and branding, Goyal Salt is well-positioned to consolidate its leadership in the Indian salt industry. Its evolution from a regional manufacturer to a pan-India player appears both imminent and well-structured.
