In a strategic move to promote gender inclusion and empowerment within the financial services sector, Aadhar Housing Finance Ltd has inaugurated its first all-women-operated branch in Indore. This initiative marks a significant milestone for the company, which currently manages nearly 600 branches across India. The Indore branch, managed entirely by a nine-member female team, sets the tone for a broader expansion, with 12 more such branches planned in the current financial year. This announcement also comes amid robust growth in Madhya Pradesh, where Aadhar's assets under management (AUM) are projected to increase from Rs. 2,750 crore to Rs. 3,200 crore.

Driving Gender Equity in Financial Operations

Aadhar Housing Finance’s decision to launch a fully women-staffed branch underscores the company’s commitment to fostering a more inclusive and representative work environment. The Indore branch is the first of its kind within Aadhar’s extensive network of nearly 600 locations nationwide.

Rishi Anand, Managing Director and CEO of Aadhar Housing Finance, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that the branch would serve as both a symbol and a mechanism of empowerment for women across the housing finance ecosystem.

The newly launched branch comprises nine women professionals in various roles—from branch leadership to trainees—demonstrating that women can occupy and excel in every operational function within the lending business.

Nationwide Rollout of Women-Only Branches

Building on this initiative, the company plans to launch 12 additional all-women branches across India during the ongoing financial year. These branches are expected to replicate the Indore model, integrating skilled female professionals in client-facing and back-end roles.

This move aligns with a growing trend in India’s banking and finance industry, where major players are increasingly establishing women-only branches as part of broader diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies.

By offering women exclusive career pathways and leadership opportunities, such initiatives can significantly uplift female participation in a traditionally male-dominated industry, particularly in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

Growth Trajectory in Madhya Pradesh

The launch also highlights Aadhar Housing Finance’s strong presence and performance in Madhya Pradesh. Currently, the company operates 46 branches in the state, with an asset under management (AUM) base of Rs. 2,750 crore.

Rishi Anand noted that this figure is expected to grow to approximately Rs. 3,200 crore by the close of the fiscal year, reflecting increased demand for affordable housing loans and expanding financial inclusion in semi-urban and rural regions.

The company’s scalable model and expanding regional footprint support its long-term strategy of targeting underserved markets with high growth potential.

Broader Implications for Financial Inclusion

Women-operated branches can have a multiplier effect—not only improving organizational gender balance but also attracting female customers who may feel more comfortable engaging with women loan officers.

Furthermore, such initiatives can catalyze financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and home ownership among women, contributing to more inclusive economic development.

By elevating the role of women in both employment and housing finance, Aadhar Housing Finance is helping reshape perceptions and setting new standards in the affordable housing finance segment.

Conclusion

Aadhar Housing Finance’s introduction of an all-women branch is more than a symbolic gesture—it is a decisive step towards operational inclusivity, leadership diversification, and grassroots-level economic empowerment. As the company eyes further expansion, this initiative is likely to enhance customer engagement, boost employee morale, and position Aadhar as a forward-looking institution within India's housing finance landscape.
