In a landmark move toward sustainable data infrastructure, CtrlS Datacenters Ltd. has entered into a strategic partnership with NTPC Green Energy Ltd. (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., to source over 2 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy. The collaboration is part of CtrlS’s broader mission to power all its data centers with clean energy, advancing India’s green transition in the digital economy.

NTPC and Engineers India Limited (EIL) have joined forces to develop a state-of-the-art synthetic natural gas (SNG) facility, reflecting India’s commitment to sustainable energy and reduced carbon emissions. The project aims to convert renewable or low-grade carbon feedstocks into SNG, supporting cleaner fuel alternatives and energy security. Analysts note that this collaboration leverages NTPC’s power generation expertise and EIL’s engineering and project management capabilities, signaling a significant step in India’s energy transition.

India's largest power producer, NTPC Ltd., has extended the tenure of its Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), Gurdeep Singh, by one year. The decision reflects the government’s confidence in his leadership as the company navigates a crucial phase of energy transition, diversification, and capacity expansion.
