Global superstar Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently offered a rare and heartwarming glimpse into her personal life during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She revealed that her daughter, Malti Marie, has developed a fondness for “APT,” a chart-topping collaboration between BLACKPINK's Rosé and Bruno Mars. The song, released in October 2024, has become Malti’s daily anthem. As Chopra balances life between continents—filming in India and residing in New York with husband Nick Jonas—she shared reflections on parenting, their East Coast lifestyle, and her upcoming high-profile film and streaming projects.

Malti’s Musical Obsession: A Star in the Making?

In a charming moment that blended global pop culture with personal insight, Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared that “APT,” a 2024 global hit by BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars, has become her daughter Malti Marie’s go-to morning anthem. During her candid appearance on The Tonight Show, Chopra revealed, “It’s her favourite song. Every single day starts with it.”

The revelation adds a layer of relatability to the family’s high-profile image. Despite being born into a world of stardom, Malti appears to have developed a refined musical taste early on—something her parents proudly celebrate. Priyanka’s anecdote offered fans a tender portrait of domestic life, where toddler dance sessions coexist with Broadway rehearsals and film shoots.

New York Life: Between Broadway and the School Run

As Nick Jonas takes center stage in his Broadway performance of The Last Five Years, the Jonas-Chopra family has temporarily set up base in New York. Chopra described their current rhythm as “hunkered down on the East Coast,” where Malti is attending school and rapidly becoming the star of her own social circle.

“She’s precocious, she’s funny, she’s a little comedian,” Chopra shared, glowing with maternal pride. “She knows she’s funny, so that’s even better. She has her little clique of friends, and her schedule’s even crazier than mine.”

The actress gave a humorous nod to the ever-expanding list of children’s extracurricular activities, commenting on how packed Malti’s calendar has become with classes and playdates. “She wants to socialise with other babies,” Chopra laughed.

Balancing Hollywood, Bollywood, and Parenthood

While her family remains stateside, Chopra has been flying back and forth between New York and India, where she is working on an undisclosed project. The balancing act between continents is nothing new for the actress, who has built a career spanning both Bollywood blockbusters and Hollywood franchises.

Chopra continues to occupy coveted roles in both industries. She will soon be seen alongside Idris Elba and John Cena in Heads of State, an action-comedy set to stream on Amazon Prime Video. She’s also slated to star in The Bluff, portraying a 19th-century Caribbean pirate—a role that promises a fierce departure from her recent performances. Meanwhile, her collaboration with acclaimed Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli for a film alongside Mahesh Babu remains unconfirmed but highly anticipated.

Adding to the excitement, Chopra is set to reprise her role in the spy-thriller series Citadel, though fans will need to wait longer than expected. The second season, originally planned for release in 2025, has been rescheduled to premiere in spring 2026.

A Life Less Ordinary, Rooted in Family

Since marrying Nick Jonas in a multi-day celebration blending Indian and Western traditions in 2018, Chopra has taken on roles far beyond her screen personas: wife, mother, producer, and cross-cultural ambassador. In 2022, the couple welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie, via surrogacy—a milestone they’ve approached with both grace and intentional privacy.

Now, as Malti’s presence brightens their lives, Chopra’s stories from motherhood offer a more grounded and intimate view of the global icon. Whether discussing bedtime routines, toddler quirks, or jet-setting schedules, she reminds audiences that even at the heights of fame, the most meaningful joys often come from home.
