SBI Life Insurance and Vidyaniti LLP have jointly acquired a 4.25 percent stake in the National Highways Infra Trust (NHIT) through a block deal worth approximately Rs 1,100 crore. SBI Life Insurance purchased 1.93 percent, while Vidyaniti LLP acquired 2.3 percent of NHIT units, bought at an average price of Rs 133.57 per unit. The transaction coincides with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) divesting an equivalent 4.25 percent stake in the InvIT.
