Waaree Energies, one of India’s leading solar module manufacturers, has posted an impressive financial performance for the quarter ending March 2025, with net profit surging over 250% year-on-year to Rs. 648.49 crore. Backed by robust demand and an expanding international footprint, the company also reported a 37.69% increase in quarterly revenue, totaling Rs. 4,140.92 crore. For the full fiscal year, profit after tax reached Rs. 1,932.15 crore, and revenue rose to Rs. 14,846.06 crore. With a massive 25 GW order book worth Rs. 47,000 crore and strategic investments in the U.S., Waaree is consolidating its position as a global solar leader.

Quarterly Performance: A Profit Surge Fueled by Strong Demand

Waaree Energies has delivered a standout financial quarter, reflecting the company’s strategic alignment with the global transition to renewable energy. In Q4 of FY25, the company recorded a profit after tax of Rs. 648.49 crore—marking a dramatic 254.49% year-on-year increase. This growth was underpinned by strong execution and a revenue boost of nearly 38%, which brought the quarter’s total revenue to Rs. 4,140.92 crore.

This level of profitability indicates more than just market momentum—it highlights the strength of Waaree’s operational efficiency, product quality, and ability to deliver on large-scale projects across various market segments.

Full-Year Financials: Consistent Growth Trajectory

For the full financial year ending March 2025, Waaree reported a PAT of Rs. 1,932.15 crore, reflecting a 107.08% year-on-year rise. Revenue for the year stood at Rs. 14,846.06 crore, representing a solid 27.62% increase over the previous fiscal.

Such consistent double-digit growth places Waaree in an elite category of high-performing renewable energy firms and reflects rising solar adoption both domestically and globally. The company’s cost controls, technological enhancements, and expanding economies of scale are contributing factors to its upward financial trajectory.

Order Book Strength: Securing the Future with Rs. 47,000 Crore Pipeline

One of the most telling indicators of Waaree’s industry leadership is its expanding order book, which as of March 2025 stands at more than 25 GW, valued at approximately Rs. 47,000 crore. The orders primarily stem from utility-scale developers and commercial and industrial (C&I) clients—both in India and abroad.

This robust pipeline not only guarantees revenue visibility for the coming years but also demonstrates Waaree’s reputation for reliability, execution, and scalability in the solar space. It reflects a strong vote of confidence from global energy stakeholders transitioning to solar power as a key component of their clean energy strategies.

Manufacturing Milestones and U.S. Expansion

Waaree has been aggressively scaling its manufacturing capabilities. Total production reached 7.13 GW in FY25, a notable rise from 4.77 GW in FY24. The company’s facility in Brookshire, Texas, is playing a central role in this growth. With 1.6 GW of manufacturing capacity already operational there, Waaree is now doubling down on its U.S. presence.

In March 2025, the Board approved an additional 1.6 GW module manufacturing line at the Texas site, signifying the company’s commitment to international expansion. This move positions Waaree favorably amid increasing U.S. demand for domestically sourced solar components, particularly in light of regulatory support for clean energy manufacturing.

Outlook: High Margins and Strategic Diversification

Looking ahead, Waaree projects its EBITDA for FY26 to fall within the range of Rs. 5,500 crore to Rs. 6,000 crore. This optimistic forecast is underpinned by a quality order book and operational excellence. According to CEO Amit Paithankar, the company is placing a premium on maintaining strong margins while also scaling rapidly.

The company also plans to diversify into new international markets while cementing its leadership in India’s domestic solar space. This includes an emphasis on high-value, compliant projects and the establishment of additional overseas facilities.

Conclusion: A Solar Giant with Global Ambitions

Waaree Energies is no longer just a domestic solar manufacturer—it is emerging as a global force in the renewable energy sector. Its record-breaking financials, expanded manufacturing capabilities, and forward-looking investments signal a company in full growth mode.

With a secure and diversified order book, strategic global partnerships, and consistent operational excellence, Waaree appears well-positioned to capitalize on the green energy transition. For investors, policymakers, and the broader energy ecosystem, Waaree’s ascent is a case study in how Indian clean tech can thrive on the world stage.
