Despite the Sensex and Nifty recovering much of their losses and many portfolios turning green, the market is signaling that the era of easy returns may be over. With only a handful of stocks surpassing the Rs 1,000 crore market cap threshold delivering substantial gains, investors must brace themselves for a more challenging environment in the second half of 2025. This shift marks a pivotal moment in India's capital markets.

The revised guidelines, issued on June 12, 2025, aim to make it easier for individuals to reactivate accounts that have remained inactive for over a decade, often holding unclaimed deposits or government benefits.
