Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to review the progress of the "One State-One Regional Rural Bank" (RRB) initiative on May 6. In response to reports suggesting the government is considering imposing Goods and Services Tax (GST) on Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions above Rs. 2,000, the finance ministry has clarified that no such proposal is under consideration.
