India’s long-running Sahara refund process reached a significant milestone as authorities confirmed that Rs. 6,841 crore has been returned to 35 lakh depositors. The repayments, made through the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) portal, aim to provide relief to millions who had invested in various Sahara Group cooperative societies. The development marks one of the most extensive restitution efforts undertaken by the government in recent years.
