Punjab National Bank Projects ₹1,500 Crore Treasury Gains in Q3 Amid Margin Expansion Plans

Punjab National Bank (PNB) anticipates generating approximately ₹1,500 crore in treasury income during the third quarter of FY26, following a strong ₹1,800 crore gain in the first half of the year. The state-owned lender expects a gradual rise in net interest margin (NIM)—by five basis points in Q3 and ten basis points in Q4—bringing the full-year guidance to between 2.8% and 2.9%.
