According to the CDC's updated data, six major antimicrobial-resistant (AR) pathogens experienced a 20% increase in cases during the pandemic compared to pre-pandemic levels, with a notable peak in 2021. Additionally, the number of clinical cases of Candida auris, a multidrug-resistant yeast, increased nearly five-fold from 2019 to 2022.
