India’s Fintech Funding Dips 26% in H1 2025 Amid Early-Stage Resilience and Increased Acquisitions

India’s fintech sector raised USD 889 million in the first half of 2025, reflecting a 26% decline from USD 1.2 billion in the latter half of 2024 and a 5% drop from USD 936 million a year earlier, according to Tracxn. Despite this overall slowdown, early-stage investments witnessed a modest revival, rising 10% sequentially to USD 361 million, while seed and late-stage funding contracted. Bengaluru retained its dominance, accounting for 55% of total funding. Notably, acquisition activity increased, highlighting strategic consolidation within the industry.
