Essar Group’s GreenLine Mobility Solutions has partnered with Shriram Finance to deploy a fleet of LNG-powered trucks, signaling a significant step in India’s transition to sustainable logistics. This expansion aligns with GreenLine’s ambitious plan to deploy over 10,000 LNG and electric trucks, supported by a nationwide infrastructure network. The move aims to reduce carbon emissions by up to 1 million tonnes annually, supporting India’s broader decarbonization goals.

GreenLine Mobility Solutions, a pioneering venture under the Essar Group, has partnered with global tire reinforcement leader Bekaert to initiate a transformative shift in India’s road logistics sector. The collaboration aims to significantly reduce carbon emissions by deploying liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered trucks at Bekaert’s Ranjangaon plant in Maharashtra. With each vehicle capable of cutting up to 24 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, this initiative supports India’s broader ambition of establishing a gas-based economy.
