In a landmark move aimed at fortifying cybersecurity and digital trust in the Asia-Pacific region, Google has inaugurated the Google Safety Engineering Centre (GSEC) in Hyderabad, India. This facility—Google’s first of its kind in APAC and fourth globally—signals the tech giant’s deepening investment in India’s digital ecosystem. Unveiled by Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy, GSEC India will spearhead innovation in online safety, privacy engineering, and responsible AI development.
