In a move aimed at reforming India’s fertiliser distribution ecosystem, the Indian Micro Fertilizers Manufacturers Association (IMMA) has formally urged the government to introduce a centralised licensing framework for fertilisers. The proposal seeks to replace the current state-level approval system with a uniform, national structure that simplifies compliance, reduces delays, and enhances supply chain efficiency.
