In a significant development for India’s renewable energy sector, Bengaluru-based solar manufacturer Emmvee has landed a Rs. 1,500 crore contract from KPI Green Energy Ltd for the supply of advanced TopCon bifacial solar modules. The modules, to be manufactured at Emmvee’s state-of-the-art facilities in Karnataka, will power an upcoming solar installation in Gujarat. This order builds on the firms’ ongoing collaboration since 2021 and underscores Emmvee’s rising prominence as a key contributor to India’s clean energy supply chain. With robust production capabilities and a growing international footprint, Emmvee continues to play a central role in global solar module markets.
Strategic Order Reinforces Emmvee–KPI Green Energy Alliance
Emmvee, one of India’s leading solar module and photovoltaic cell manufacturers, has announced a landmark deal with KPI Green Energy Ltd, a part of the KP Group, valued at nearly Rs. 1,500 crore. The agreement will see Emmvee supply high-performance Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TopCon) bifacial solar modules—an advanced next-generation technology recognized for delivering superior energy yields and enhanced efficiency.
The modules will be deployed in a major solar project being developed in Gujarat, further strengthening the partnership between the two companies. Emmvee and KPI Green Energy have maintained a collaborative relationship since 2021, and this latest engagement solidifies their mutual commitment to accelerating India’s renewable energy ambitions.
High-Efficiency TopCon Modules to Power Gujarat Project
The solar modules ordered will be produced at Emmvee’s manufacturing units located in Dabaspet and Sulibele, Karnataka. Known for their bifacial design, TopCon modules capture solar radiation from both sides of the panel, significantly increasing energy generation per unit area. This technological edge is especially valuable in utility-scale solar farms, where optimizing output is crucial for financial and operational efficiency.
By leveraging advanced manufacturing infrastructure and a commitment to quality, Emmvee has positioned itself as a reliable supplier to major developers seeking high-efficiency solutions for large-scale projects.
Industry Leaders Emphasize Trust and Execution
Commenting on the order, Emmvee’s founder and Managing Director, Manjunatha DV, highlighted the significance of long-term relationships and performance consistency:
“This new order from KPI Green Energy underscores our commitment to quality, strong execution capabilities, and the relationship capital we've built with long-standing partners in the industry.”
Echoing this sentiment, Faruk G Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of KPI Green Energy, emphasized the importance of supplier reliability in the clean energy space:
“Our ongoing partnership with Emmvee is built on trust, performance, and a shared vision for a greener India. Their consistent quality and execution make them a vital ally in our sustainable energy journey.”
The alignment of values and shared vision between the two firms underscores the growing importance of integrated, dependable supply chains in India’s clean energy ecosystem.
Emmvee’s Expanding Role in Global Solar Manufacturing
Headquartered in Bengaluru, Emmvee is fast emerging as a key player not only in India’s solar manufacturing sector but also on the global stage. The company currently boasts a module production capacity of approximately 7.8 gigawatt-peak (GWp) and a solar cell production capacity of 2.94 GWp.
Emmvee’s products are now exported across Asia, Europe, Africa, and North America—evidence of the firm’s rising international profile and its contribution to strengthening India’s position as a global clean energy manufacturing hub.
Outlook: Building India’s Green Energy Backbone
This substantial order reflects a broader shift within India’s renewable energy landscape: a decisive move toward high-efficiency technologies and a growing trust in domestic manufacturing capabilities. As India pushes toward its goal of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, strategic alliances like that between Emmvee and KPI Green Energy will be instrumental in delivering large-scale, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions.
In a market that increasingly rewards innovation, quality, and scale, Emmvee’s continued success is emblematic of India’s emergence as a formidable player in the global energy transition.
