Reliance Defence Partners with Coastal Mechanics to Tap India’s Rs 20,000 Crore Defence MRO Market

Reliance Defence Limited, promoted by Reliance Infrastructure, has entered a strategic partnership with US Department of Defense-authorized contractor Coastal Mechanics Inc to jointly capture India’s burgeoning Rs 20,000 crore defence maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO), and upgrade sector. The collaboration aims to provide comprehensive lifecycle support and modernisation for critical military platforms, including Jaguar and MiG-29 fighter jets, Apache attack helicopters, and legacy systems.

Reliance Defence and Rheinmetall Forge Strategic Alliance to Boost India’s Ammunition Manufacturing Ambitions

Reliance Defence, under Anil Ambani's Reliance Group, has entered a significant partnership with German defence giant Rheinmetall AG to establish a state-of-the-art ammunition manufacturing facility in Maharashtra. This collaboration aims to supply artillery shells, explosives, and propellants, aligning with India’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives. The new greenfield plant will bolster India’s defence production capabilities, enhance self-reliance, and support the country’s ambitious Rs 50,000 crore defence export target by 2029.
