According to Julia Simpson, President and CEO of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), the contribution of this sector to India’s GDP is on track to align with the global average of 10 percent. The country’s tourism sector is set to play a key role in transforming local economies, and the Indian government’s strategic investments are accelerating this trajectory.
